Glock injection-molds their frames like G.I. Joes on the production lines. They are sometimes unbalanced and that can cause the occasional weird problems. Most of the Glock's internal makeup is stamped spring steel. I have a police officer friend who returned his Glock because it went off one day in his holster. BIG PC problems there. The factory got back to him and offered him another, but I don't know what they ever said was wrong with the thing. The Glock is made (I brace myself for nasty posts to come) to be produced by the thousands for millitary/police markets cheaply, hence the stampings and the injection molding. They are designed so that if they break, send it to the armorer, get a new stamping and so on. HK makes the superior gun by meticulously milling out and checking each part, therefore making a more time and money-intensive gun. I was going to buy a 21 for a while. I got a deal on one w/13 rounds through it and 2 hi-caps for 399. I didnt take it. I bought a USP45 w/trijicon sights and 2 10 rounders for 499. Sure it's more expensive, but why pinch pennies when you KNOW it's a better implement designed to save your life? THAT is the question.
p.s. before anybody gets pissy, I DIDNT say Glocks were bad guns at any point in my post, I just said HK was better.
