: got a prob. i have an ar15a1 made by pacificwest. the rear take-down pin was a little stiff. my father in law thought he could do something with it. he took a drill to the female end and enlarged the hole. it turns out the problem was the pin itself needed to be polished. now the upper and lower receivers are not fitting together exactly...right. there is a little play when i twist the upper and lower. i really don't want to have to buy a new lower for a preban and the smith at the local shop here in dallas said the rifle will not accept the oversize takedown pin. i got some 'jb-weld' but i've yet to apply it without some other alternanative. is the gunsmith full of crap or what? someone out there have an idea or do i need to ditch it? also, anyone out there have any ifo on the optima 2000 series sight and where i can get a brochure. pricing info, etc.
